About the Presenters

Jeremy Goss, CPA is a partner in FORVIS’ Financial Services Practice. His career has focused exclusively on the financial services industry, and he has spent the last two decades serving public and private banks, credit unions, financial technology, specialty finance, private equity, and investment companies.   In addition to financial statement audits, Jeremy’s teams perform a wide range of professional services to banks, including internal audit, FDICIA/SOX implementation, CECL implementation, and other consulting services. 

Geron Morgan, CPA is a partner in FORVIS’ Financial Services Practice. She has approximately 18 years of experience providing audit, internal audit, compliance, and consulting services to financial institutions, including public and private banks, and investment broker-dealers. In addition to audit and assurance services, her experience includes FDICIA internal control structure design and reviews, allowance for loan and lease losses methodology reviews, accounting standard implementation consultations, internal audit program and system development, and accounting and strategic issue conferences.
Geron is co-chair of FORVIS’ Blockchain Taskforce and has devoted significant time to educating community banks on cryptocurrency and digital assets. Geron’s current activities with the Blockchain Taskforce include navigating risk and audit methodology for fintech organizations, cryptocurrency funds, and cryptocurrency platforms.
