The Internal Auditor/Compliance Examiner will conduct various exams and procedures to test our clients’ compliance with internal controls and federal regulations within the context of regulatory expectations, and entity enterprise risk assessments. 
Job Description:

  1. Assist with planning and perform fieldwork testing for internal audit and regulatory compliance engagements, internal client controls,  and operating procedures
  2. Research technical issues that arise during the course of testing procedures
  3. Create draft reports for partner review and discussion with clients
  4. Identifies business process risks and develops testing methodologies to evaluate the adequacy of controls.
  5. Builds new and existing client relationships and participate in networking and business development activities

Qualifications and Education Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or related field required
•    Minimum of 2 years of related audit and/or regulatory compliance experience
•    Experience in a public accounting firm, or as corporate internal auditor, preferred
•    CIA, CRCM, CFE, and/or CPA, preferred
•    Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, exhibiting empathy for others with positive conflict resolution skills
•    Analytical, detail orientation - ability to multi-task without sacrificing people skills
•    Ability to manage work-life balance while maintaining accountability and service
•    Excellent knowledge of IIA guidelines and audit methodologies and techniques
•    Excellent knowledge of banking industry regulations, systems and control processes
•    Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
•    Research proficiency driven by the principle of life-long learning
•    Must be software savvy
•    Ability to travel to client locations, which will include occasional overnight stays
