The ACUIA Risk Management Certification Program offers the skills you need to establish, enhance, and manage your credit union’s ERM program. This intense program offers the best of both worlds: basic understanding of key risk management concepts as well as real-world skills for practical application.

The program starts with a series of self-study webinar-based modules to provide certification candidates with the theory and concepts applied to credit union risk management. Then students will come together for 4 ½ days of intense hands-on learning sessions that will prepare them to use and apply those skills in the workplace. Ericka F. Kranitz

Ericka is a professor of practice in the Department of Accounting and the Director, Master of Management, Risk & Analytics Concentration in the Poole College of Management at NC State University working with the ERM Initiative and teaching accounting-related courses. Ms. Kranitz received both her bachelor’s and master’s in accounting degrees from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

 
R. Todd Sherpy

Todd Sherpy is a founding partner in the law firm of Sherpy & Jones, P.A. The firm serves Credit Unions nationally with day-to-day compliance/legal, compliance auditing, training and consulting services. Todd has championed the concept of ERM for many years; and has worked with many Credit Unions from the implementation to the ongoing evolution of their formal ERM programs.

Dr. Randy Thompson

Randy C. Thompson, Ph.D. is the CEO and founder of TCT Risk Solutions LLC a CUSO.  He has consulted with Credit Unions, for over 36 years.  He holds advanced degrees (Ph.D. and MBA) in Finance, Statistics, Economics and Public Health and taught graduate courses in finance and statistics at several Universities in the western United States.

Alan White

Alan is the President & Founder of CU Accelerator. He has been helping credit unions design, implement, and operate Risk Management, Governance, and Strategic Planning programs for over 15 years.  He has worked with over 60 credit unions ranging in size from $170 million to over $8 billion in assets.   Prior to founding CU Accelerator, Alan was a Senior Manager in Ernst & Young’s Technology & Security Risk Services practice in Los Angeles, CA and an experienced manager in Arthur Andersen’s technology consulting practice in Washington, DC.  Early in his career, he held IT and Operational Audit positions in two fortune 500 companies.  
Alan holds a BS in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

Shelley Engleman

Shelley is the Senior VP of Risk Management at 717 Credit Union in Warren, OH. She has over 35 years in the credit union industry and holds the CIA, CFE, CISA, and CRMA designations. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration at Malone College. Shelley has extensive experience in audit, compliance, risk management, strategic planning, and information security. Shelley serves on the ACUIA Board of Directors.

Tabitha Ernst-Chadwick

Tabitha is the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Marine Federal Credit Union in Jacksonville, NC. She has over 25 years in the credit union industry and holds the CIA, CISA, CFE, CAMS, LRP, and NCCO designations. Tabitha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Slippery Rock University and her Masters in Study of Law from Samford University/Cumberland School of Law. She is also a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honors Society. Tabitha serves on the ACUIA Board of Directors.
