Topic Overview:  This webinar will provide an overview of the NCUA’s supervisory priorities for 2021 and share perspectives gained from experience working with institutions in size from $50 million to over $15 billion in assets.  Participants can expect to walk away with increased insight into examiner concerns and common findings related to the NCUA’s supervisory priorities. Through interaction with the presenters, participants will learn best practices and ideas for improving audit programs.  

About the Presenters:
Aran Loftus has practiced public accounting since 2007. He provides auditing, accounting, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting services to numerous companies in the financial institutions industry, focusing on credit unions and community banks. Aran devotes half the year to auditing financial institutions. His remaining time is spent provided consulting services to financial institutions on internal controls, credit quality and loan documentation reviews, lending operation reviews, and validating allowance for loan and lease loss methodologies.  Prior to joining Moss Adams, Aran worked as a registered representative and held FINRA Series 4, 6, 7, and 63 licenses and served in back office operations roles for a retail brokerage house.

Noory Song has experience in finance, accounting, operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management spanning more than 15 years. He specializes in the review of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), regulatory compliance, residential mortgage lending, and asset quality reviews. Prior to joining Moss Adams, Noory served at a publicly traded bank in Los Angeles, where he was responsible for regulatory compliance, BSA/AML, and operations audits; and supervised at leading national business consulting, accounting, and tax firms for seven years, where he was responsible for financial statement audits and risk management consulting services.
