Compliance Officer

 Compliance Officer – Katy, TX:



This position is responsible for the review of credit union policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all related laws and regulations applicable to the credit union. The Compliance officer will also recommend policy changes to senior management and/or the Board of Directors that will facilitate the credit union’s compliance program, reduce risk, and reflect changes in regulations. This position reports directly to the CEO/President.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Review laws and regulations that impact the credit union’s compliance requirements, with emphasis on Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and OFAC; evaluate the credit union’s policies, procedures, products and programs, make recommendations for change and assist with development of policies and procedures where appropriate; disseminate information, answer questions, and be a subject matter expert for the credit union on all compliance-related issues; for compliance purposes assist in the revision and/or design of forms, products, web site, programs, or promotions; develop or assist in the development of compliance training programs and assist with compliance training and testing for employees; oversight, monitoring, and performance of appropriate day-to-day activities of the Vendor Oversight Program and the Identity Theft Red Flag Program; act as Chairman of the Compliance Committee.

Education and Experience Requirement:

- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education.

- 2 years financial institution experience preferred (including compliance oversight duties)
